Posted On October 3, 2013Nissan Reveals the Exterior Design of Nissan DAYZ ROOX – Oct 03, 2013– Yokohama, Japan (Techreleased) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. revealed the exterior design of the Nissan DAYZ ROOX today, a new minicar for the Japanese market scheduled to reach dealer showrooms in early 2014.
Nissan DAYZ ROOX follows in the tire treads of the tremendously successful Nissan DAYZ, the first minicar that features Nissan’s direct involvement in the early planning and development stages. DAYZ ROOX is Nissan’s entry in the super-height wagon category in the minicar segment and features ample cabin space. The original Nissan DAYZ, released this past June, has been extremely well-received by the public; it sold 30,000 units in its first month of availability, the most for any Nissan minicar ever.
Nissan DAYZ ROOX features a fresh exterior design that exudes a sense of agility and stability. It’s easy to see by just looking at its outer shape that there is plenty of space for occupants inside the sheet metal. The exciting minicar boasts exceptionally efficient packaging, ensuring maximum flexibility and versatility demanded by users of super-height wagons. Nissan will include in Nissan DAYZ ROOX a long list of advanced and convenient features that are proving popular in the Nissan DAYZ, including The Around View Monitor (AVM) to assist in parking. Other items that can be added are Super UV-cut heat insulated green glass which filters out 99 percent of UV rays and a touchscreen automatic air-conditioning system. Nissan DAYZ ROOX is also equipped with automatic-sliding doors.
The Nissan DAYZ series reflects the strengths of both Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation through NMKV, a joint venture between the two companies, which handles the cars’ product planning and development.
Autech Japan, Nissan’s specialty vehicle division, is planning to release a custom “Rider” version based on Nissan DAYZ ROOX.
