Fujitsu Introduces ARROWS NX F-04G in Japan – May 26, 2015– Tokyo, Japan (Techreleased) – Fujitsu announced that ARROWS NX F-04G smartphone will be available from NTT DOCOMO retailers throughout Japan starting Thursday, May 28th.
The ARROWS NX F-04G was developed with the concept of a quick and easy user experience. Most notably, this is the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with Iris Passport, iris authentication technology, which allows the screen to be unlocked with a mere 0.6-second glance, and eliminates the need for inputting passwords or patterns. When used with the password manager, websites that require a password can also be automatically accessed by simply looking at the screen, eliminating the worry of forgetting passwords. It also has other features that add to a more enjoyable smartphone experience, including a high-speed autofocus camera that can capture precious scenes without missing a single moment.
In addition, ARROWS NX F-04G offers a collection of cutting-edge technologies, such as high speed downloads and TransferJet, equipped on a smartphone for the first time ever, which enables large volume data transfer by simply holding the device near another terminal.
Many people carry their smartphone with them everywhere they go, and these smartphones are used in a variety of situations throughout an individual’s daily life. After carefully identifying the necessary elements of a smartphone that help deliver a more enjoyable lifestyle, Fujitsu equipped the ARROWS NX F-04G with iris authentication, a feature that saves time and is easy to use.
This is the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with iris authentication technology. Iris authentication is a biometric authentication system that uses the pattern of the iris in the human eye. The iris finishes development when an individual is around two years old, and has the advantages of being permanent, hard to injure externally, and difficult to forge.
In addition to unlocking the screen, when used with the password manager, iris authentication also allows easy ID confirmation on membership websites and payment services by linking them to iris information. While maintaining the security level of previous smartphones, unlocking screens, logging into websites, and paying online have been made more convenient, which allows for stress-free usage. In addition, iris data is secure in that it is stored internally within the smartphone and cannot be exported.
Through Fujitsu’s proprietary technology, a high-speed autofocus that requires approximately half the time of previous model ARROWS NX F-05F has been developed. This allows the camera to focus on the subject at higher speeds and with higher accuracy, enabling instantaneous focusing by simply holding up the device. In addition, the device is equipped with Exmor RS for mobile, a 1/2.4-type CMOS image sensor with approximately 21.5 million pixels, which allows for the taking of even more beautiful photos.
The combination of two technologies enables high-speed, uninterrupted downloads. One is high-speed downloading technology that instantly cuts download times by increasing the requests for the number of sessions that pass through the server. The other, multi-connection, enables seamless switching to LTE or 3G should a Wi-Fi signal temporarily become unstable. In addition, support for PREMIUM 4G and Wi-Fi MIMO allows for even faster transmissions.
This is the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with TransferJet, a technology for wireless transmission between devices in close proximity. Due to extremely high-speed transmission with maximum effective transfer speed of 375Mbps, massive amounts of data such as videos and photos can be transferred between ARROWS NX F-04G devices without any prior setting adjustments, simply by positioning the smartphones close together. Sharing videos and photos between friends has never been easier.
