Posted On May 14, 2014Australia Has An All-New City – May 14, 2014– Melbourne, Australia (Techreleased) – Customers looking for a stylish, feature-packed light sedan that delivers excellent value for money need look no further than the all-new Honda City.
“The new Honda City is without doubt the most feature-packed light sedan in the market today,” said Honda Australia Director, Mr. Stephen Collins. “Customers will be amazed at the impressive list of features, outstanding fuel economy, high quality materials and state-of-the-art technology wrapped up in a stylish sedan body.”
The new Honda City, in showrooms right now, is available in two variants. The VTi has a manual transmission and CVT and the VTi-L has CVT as standard. The 1.5 litre SOHC four-cylinder engine delivers 88kW of power at 6600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4600rpm. The engine is coupled with the all-new CVT with torque converter from Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology series.
Key features of the new Honda City include incredible interior space with more head, leg and shoulder room, advanced technology and safety features, stylish design, great driving dynamics, exceptional fuel economy and a quality finish unlike any other in its class.
The Honda City’s spacious interior is size-defying, with plenty of room for five adults, luggage and of course, gadgets. The 536 litre boot capacity is even bigger than its predecessor (506 litres) and most large sedans.
Connectivity is taken to a whole new level in the new Honda City. It features the touch screen Display Audio system that keeps you connected through hands-free Bluetooth functionality (available with Apple or Android phones) as well as a mirror function for viewing navigation and approved apps straight from your compatible Apple iPhone (5 or above).
Standard active safety features in the Honda City include Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Emergency Brake Assist, Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control System and six airbags.
The multi-view rear camera has three different modes (normal, wide and top-down) and is standard across the range.
Sipping just 5.7 litres per one hundred kilometres for the CVT and 5.8 litres per one hundred kilometres for the five-speed manual, the Honda City delivers outstanding fuel efficiency and is competitively priced from a Manufacturer’s List Price of just $15,990 (VTi manual with flat paint only).
The launch of the all-new Honda City is accompanied by a wide-reaching national advertising program featuring a TVC, billboards and online.
