Jan 16, 2013– Charlotte, USA  (Techreleased) – Today, after months of industry buzz and speculation around a secret new product, Jacobsen, a Textron Inc. Company, unveiled the new LF510™ fairway mower. The latest addition to Jacobsen’s legendary line of LF mowers, the LF510 delivers a superior quality-of-cut with surprising affordability.

The Jacobsen LF510 five-gang fairway mower features a 100-inch width-of-cut, five-inch TrueSet™ cutting units and a Tier 4 final Kubota diesel engine. The mower also offers a host of simplified maintenance features including wet parking brakes, an onboard control module and easily accessible service items.

The LF510 fairway mower will come standard with Jacobsen’s new TrueSet™ cutting units, first introduced in 2012. TrueSet cutting units are fast and easy to adjust while providing industry-leading holding power to deliver Jacobsen’s clean and consistent quality-of-cut through the life of the cutting unit.

“The market told us it wanted an affordable fairway mower that provides a superior quality-of-cut,” said Rachel Luken, Product Manager for Jacobsen. “We answered that need by putting Jacobsen’s legendary five-inch Classic XP™ reels on an easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain tractor. In addition, technicians do not have to worry about additional exhaust after-treatment filtration devices, technology, or service because the LF510’s rugged and reliable Kubota engine is compliant with Tier 4 Final emission regulations.”

Jacobsen believes a wide spectrum of golf courses will find the LF510 attractive. “Although budget-conscious golf courses will be very interested in this machine, all golf courses are facing tough competition and need to present the best possible conditions to remain successful. The Classic XP™ seven-blade reels on the LF510 deliver the superior quality-of-cut that’s been synonymous with Jacobsen for over 90 years.”

With the LF510, Jacobsen now offers one of broadest line-ups of fairway mowers in the industry. The company also offers the five-gang LF550/LF570™ mowers, both with a 100-inch width of cut; the five-gang super lightweight SLF-1880™ that offers an 82″ width of cut; and the LF-4677™, a seven-gang fairway mower that offers a massive 139″ width-of-cut.

“Our industry is still under financial strain and golf course superintendents are being asked to do more with less,” said David Withers, President of Jacobsen. “Our new LF510 fairway mower is an affordable machine that gives superintendents dependable performance and superb turf conditions each and every day.”

The LF510 will be available this spring and will be prominently displayed at the Canadian International Turfgrass Conference later this month and at next month’s Golf Industry Show in San Diego. For more information and full specifications on the LF510, please visit Jacobsen.com.
