Posted On March 2, 2017Lexus Builds Brand With Western Sydney Dealership – March 02, 2017– Aichi , Japan (Techreleased) – Luxury car maker Lexus is positioning itself for further long-term expansion by establishing a new dealership in one of Australia’s fastest growing areas.
The opening of Lexus of Macarthur, in the Camden region of greater western Sydney comes on the back of record Lexus sales in 2016.
Ongoing expansion by Lexus comes ahead of the arrival of the brand’s premium LC coupe in mid-2017 and LS sedan in early 2018, both with powerful petrol and hybrid powertrain options.
Lexus exceeded annual deliveries of 9000 vehicles nationally for the first time in 2016 and enjoyed its fifth consecutive year of sales growth.
Lexus of Macarthur is located on an 8000 square-metre greenfield site in Gregory Hills, with easy access to Camden Valley Way and links to the Hume Highway, M5 and M7 motorways.
Lexus Australia chief executive Peter McGregor said the new site reflects the shape of things to come for the prestige marque, with more new dealerships and the all-new LC to come this year.
“Greater Western Sydney generates more than $80 billion in economic output annually, making it the third-largest economy in Australia behind Sydney CBD and Melbourne,” he said.
“With more than 240,000 businesses and an aspirational population that has out-stripped that of Sydney and New South Wales in the past decade, it is a natural fit for the Lexus brand.
“The area is growing rapidly, and Lexus is fully committed to servicing the region with our renowned customer service and full line-up of Lexus vehicles, from sports sedans to coupes and cross-over SUVs.”
The dealer principal for Lexus of Macarthur is industry veteran Mario Kordovolos, whose Clintons automotive business has serviced the Macarthur region for half a century.
“The Lexus franchise is a significant opportunity for the luxury marque in this area,” Mr Kordovolos said.
“It is one of the fastest-growing and rapidly developing regions in Australia, with huge potential for Lexus to attract and retain a new set of buyers.
“As part of the expansion of the Lexus network, our team is already highlighting to the people of the Macarthur area the many benefits of Lexus ownership.”
