MPI Workboats announce the Launching of MPI Napoleon and MPI Snowball – Nov 20, 2013– Breskens, Netherlands (Techreleased) – MPI Workboats Ltd. is pleased to announce the launching of its latest acquisitions, MPI Napoleon (Hull No. 67) and MPI Snowball (Hull No. 68) on Saturday 9 November 2013 at South East Asia Shipyard (SEAS) in Vietnam. These two windfarm‑support vessels are currently under construction at SEAS, which is part of the PIRIOU Group, headquartered in France.
MPI Napoleon
Both vessels have been designed by BMT/Nigel Gee to service the windfarm industry. The catamarans are built of Aluminum and are 21.85m long. They are equipped with 2 x MAN engines and hydrojets, equating to a vessel speed of up to 25 knots, and can transport up to 12 passengers, 3 crew and two 10-foot containers.
MPI Napoleon and MPI Snowball are scheduled to join the fleet of MPI Workboats in February 2014 and will service the windfarm industry in the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
