MSI Updated Its Gaming Notebook Lineup By Introducing The Latest NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 10 Series Graphics Cards – Aug 30, 2016– Taipei, Taiwan (Techreleased) –  MSI has created history today by announcing the most comprehensive update to its gaming notebook lineup by introducing the latest NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 10 series graphics cards for eleven notebooks of the GT series, GS series and GE series.

MSI GeForce GTX 10

The latest GT72VR and GT62VR Dominator with GeForce® GTX1070 or GTX 1060 graphics are designed for gaming enthusiasts. With GeForce® GTX 1070 graphics, running side by side with 6820HK CPU in Turbo mode, 3D performance was over P17400. The GeForce® GTX 1060 graphics, running together with standard Core i7 6700HQ platform in SPORT mode, could reach about P13000 in 3D Mark 11. Both results are better than most of the competitors get due to better cooling solution and higher power consumption.

GT72VR Dominator and GT62VR Dominator: the enthusiast gaming platforms

The latest MSI GT72VR Dominator and GT62VR Dominator series introduce “Cooler Boost 4” which supports the latest GeForce® GTX 1070 graphics as well as the GeForce® GTX 1060 graphics for smooth VR experience and optimized performance with HTC VIVE. The Cooler Boost 4 for GT72VR and GT62VR comes with 2 larger fans and 6 heat pipes: 2 dedicated for CPU and 4 dedicated for graphics and PWM for higher power consumption.

Sound by Dynaudio and Nahimic 2 for advanced sound experience

With the sound by Dynaudio and Nahimic 2, the GT72VR Dominator and GT62VR Dominator are embedded with an enhanced sound by Dynaudio system which easily exceeds 97dBA from the user’s perspective and provides better surround sound stage for most of the gaming environment. Nahimic 2 enhances both gaming and listening to the music. For gaming it also has sound tracker OSD which helps to identify where the sound (such as shooting) comes from in the game.

120Hz/5ms display and optional 4K display for gamers or content creators

To have a better visual experience on MSI gaming notebooks, the GT72VR Dominator may optionally be equipped with the fastest 120Hz/5ms mobile display with 100% sRGB and 94%NTSC coverage, or with the 100%NTSC color range of 100% Adobe RGB ready 4K IPS display. Both provide gamers or game designers with the most natural color reproduction for work and gaming. The GT62VR is also available with Full HD display with G-Sync as well, as optional of 4K IPS display with 100% sRGB True Color calibration.

Higher performance and better gaming experience

Both GT72VR and GT62VR are embedded with the new DDR4-2400 memory with 32.8GB/s reading speed and 36.3GB/s writing speed tested by AIDA64 software. The notebooks are designed with one M.2 SSD for NVMe or SATA SSD combo design. The NVMe version of SSD also includes heat sink which makes it cooler and stable with average 2300MB/s access speed. If the user chooses M.2 SATA SSD version, he/she will also get more than 500MB/s reading speed.

Dragon Center with 1 Click VR Ready and SHIFT with SPORT mode

All the latest MSI Gaming notebooks come with built-in latest MSI unique software, the “Dragon Center”. Not only it’s useful for detailed hardware monitoring but it’s also the best software to manage many of the unique features on MSI laptops. The highest performance preset of SPORT mode with Cooler Boost 4 cooling design can let GT72VR and GT62VR keep their CPU and GPU temperatures around 80˚C. That accordingly allows gamers to play their heavy loading games at highest frequencies for a long time while keeping their notebooks cool.
