NISSAN EUROPE ANNOUNCES SENIOR MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Mar 23, 2012 — Rolle, Switzerland — Nissan has announced today changes to key roles within its senior management team in Europe, effective April 1st 2012.

 The changes within Nissan’s Administration & Finance, and Sales & Marketing functions, will strengthen the focus on delivering solid results towards achievement of the Nissan Power 88 mid-term plan.

Laurent de la Cotardiere, currently Vice President, Nissan Europe Marketing, is appointed to the newly created position of Vice President, Nissan Europe Market Development & Planning.

 Laurent will continue to be based in Rolle, Switzerland and will report to Paul Willcox, Senior Vice President Nissan Europe Sales & Marketing.

 Laurent’s former position of Vice President, Nissan Europe Marketing will be filled by

Bastien Schupp, who is currently Managing Director, Austria. Bastien will relocate to Rolle following his promotion, and his successor in Austria announced in due course.

 Prior to his assignment in Austria, Bastien, who graduated at ESCP Europe Business School, held senior Marketing positions both at Nissan Europe and Infiniti where he was European Marketing Director.

 The following three positions will report to Atul Pasricha, Senior Vice President Administration & Finance:

 Stephen Kneebone, currently Nissan Europe General Manager – Organisation Development, is promoted to Vice President – Corporate Information Systems, Organisation Development & External Affairs.

 Stephen, who has a Phd in Knowledge Based Engineering, joined Nissan’s European IS/IT function as Programme Manager in 2006. The following year he was appointed General Manager for Organisation Development, adding responsibility for External Affairs in 2011.

 Prior to joining Nissan, Stephen worked in the Automotive and Aerospace industries, predominantly in business transformation and technology leadership roles.

 Dan Thompson, currently Managing Director Nissan Motor (Australia) Pty. Ltd will succeed Bryan Barr as Vice President, Finance, Nissan Europe. Bryan will take up the newly created position of Vice President Process Improvement & Global Accounting Coordinator.

 Prior to his assignment in Australia, Dan held positions of increasing responsibility within Finance, both at Nissan North America Inc. (NNA) and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (NML).

 In his new role, Dan will lead corporate financial planning and analysis for the region including forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting, and will be based in Rolle, Switzerland.

 Hari Nada, currently General Manager – Legal (NML) is promoted to Vice President Legal Affairs – Africa, Middle East, India and Europe (AMIE). Hari will also be based in Rolle.

 Hari joined Nissan as a qualified barrister in 1990 as Legal Counsel in Nissan Motor Co. Ltd in Japan. He went on to hold senior Legal positions in the UK at Nissan’s manufacturing plant and national sales & marketing company before returning to the Legal Department in Japan in 2008 as General Manager, Strategic Global Projects.

In his new role, Hari will have leadership and management of key corporate and commercial legal matters for the AMIE region and facilitate strategically important corporate initiatives.
