The Carbon Fiber Interior package takes the SRT Viper to a new level – Sep 09, 2013– Dallas, USA (Techreleased) –Over 150,000 unique combinations are currently available for SRT® Viper owners to make their car truly unique. With the introduction of the Carbon Fiber Interior package, the ability to customize an SRT® Viper goes even further.
Carbon Fiber Interior package
“The interior carbon fiber package is a continuation of the personalization aspect of the Viper,” said Ryan Nagode, Chief Designer SRT Interior Studios. “It adds another element of uniqueness to the car. The carbon fiber interior accent package really unifies everything in the car. You open the door and instantly it conveys high-end performance and goes hand-in-hand with the carbon fiber on the exterior.”
The interior carbon fiber package features 19 pieces, which encompass a large majority of the area within sight and touch of the driver’s seat. The center stack features carbon fiber accents, as does the area around the release handle on the doors. A large section of the high-strength material is also present in the outlining tracer that goes around the perimeter of the map pockets on each door. Carbon fiber also makes its presence known on the steering wheel, along with the cluster bezel, shifter bezel and grab handle surround.
The finish of the carbon fiber used for the new package is a lower gloss than most will expect from traditional carbon fiber. A unique version of carbon fiber is used, resulting in the low-gloss look. Additionally, a vast amount of low-gloss carbon fiber is used on the instrument panel of the SRT Viper GTS-R, a shared element between the racecar and the production car. In terms of functionality, low-gloss carbon fiber does not glare as much and thus will not inhibit the driver’s sight in sunny conditions or when light shines on the interior of the vehicle.
“The customer is receiving a great number of individual elements with the package,” said Nagode. “They’re getting a lot of pieces for a marginal upcharge. We are very pleased with what we came up with.”
