Toshiba, with Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd and Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., is a member of an EPC*1 consortium that has received a letter of award from the plant’s owner and operator, PT. Cirebon Energi Prasarana (CEPR), confirming selection to supply equipment for the plant.
The STG Toshiba will supply and install is in the world’s largest output class and achieves the highest energy efficiency currently available. Toshiba will also provide other equipment including plant control equipment.
The Cirebon plant, in West Java Province, was commissioned in July 2012 and is operated by PT Cirebon Electric Power invested by Marubeni Corporation and its partners. The expansion project is being managed by CEPR, a special purpose company established through a joint ownership of five companies Marubeni, PT.
