World Summit Award Mobile — Apr 01-02, 2014 — Abu Dhabi, UAE. The World Summit Award Mobile (WSA-mobile) is a global initiative to select and promote the world’s best in mobile content and innovative applications. WSA-mobile is organized in the framework of, and in cooperation with, the United Nations’ World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).

WSA-mobile focuses on content depth, local appropriates and true user value.

Each UN member state is invited to contribute to this global activity by reaching out to its local developers and select the best local app in each of the 8 WSA-mobile categories (eg. mobile commerce, journalism, business, education, entertainment, government, healthcare, and more).

The winners are invited to the WSA-mobile Global Congress to showcase their innovation on a global stage.The congress features keynotes, workshops, interactive discussions and the winners pitch their project in front of international experts, potential sponsors and media. During the event the winners receive their awards at a festive gala dinner.
